Emergency Response System Test

On 09-27-10, at 1:00 p.m., a tabletop exercise of the campus emergency response was conducted in the campus safety office. On 09-29-10, at 2:00 p.m., a test of the campus emergency notification system (Patriot Alert) was conducted.


Fire Safety and Alarm System (Campus Residence)
Each room is equipped with automatic smoke detectors. Upon detection, an alarm notifies residents in each room. The alarm is a continuous buzzing noise. As soon as this alarm is heard, residents should vacate the area according to the evacuation procedures. In case of fire or an alarm the RA will notify the city fire department. Fire extinguishers are available in each room.
